Update from Carla

Just wanted to let everyone know how we are doing. The kids are back at school today. They had a very busy weekend. We went to the Razorback game on Saturday and we went to Boo at the Zoo last night. I'm trying to keep them busy. This morning I stopped at the cemetary. This was the first time I have visited since the funeral. The geese were all around the lake. It is a beautiful spot. I still can't believe Canon is gone. I came home to an empty house. No noise, no visitors, no Canon! I checked my email and Chandra Perkins had written me. She is my new friend in Texas. She also has a Canon. He had a liver transplant and is doing well. She came to know my Canon through one of his websites. She came to the service on Wednesday all the way from Texas. I can't believe how much of an impact Canon made on her life in only five short weeks. She only had seen pictures of him on the website. She wrote an entry in her journal about the funeral. It was very moving to me. What a touching tribute to a beautiful service. As for how I'm doing, well I'm living. I just get up in the morning and take each minute as it comes. Carla

Please continue to pray for Carla and her two children. May God supply all your needs according to his glorious riches. Phil. 4:19

You and your childern are in my prayers. I know God brought Chandra into your life for a reason. She is a dear friend and has lots of insight since she truly knows what you are going through. God knew you would need someone like her and I stand in awe of this. God works in a mighty way-I pray that your new friendship will continue to grow. She is a blessing to us all!

Keep living. Someday, God will make you feel alive again. May God give you the strength you need for living each day. May God be close to you, and may he help you to be aware of how near he is.

May Jesus come soon.

God bless you and bless you. I am so sorry for your pain.

Still praying.
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." 2 Cor 12:9

Dear Carla, I came upon your website only recently, and like all of the other blogging angels I have been praying for you and your family. Canon's life is changing our lives, it is changing how we view life in so many ways. It is teaching us all to love deeper and of course to cherish every moment. I look into my children's eyes, and I think of your sweet little angel. oh, Carla, please know that my prayers are going out to you and everyone who loved Canon so. God Bless. nina

Carla and Kids,

There are no words. But know prayers are being lifted on your behalf. God will carry you through this. Continue to crawl into His lap for comfort.

I just wanted to let you know that I've been praying for you this evening. I can only guess that the time after you've put Chase and Kamryn to bed might be the hardest part of the day, and I want you to know that your brothers and sisters in Christ are in prayer for you. I'm praying you will have a night of deep and restful sleep.
